Great news from Greenham Parish Council meeting! 17/09/2025

Greenham Parish Council (GPC) accepted the RRA motion to move forward with taking on the Marketing Suite at the Racecourse and converting it into a community centre.

An initial £10,000 has been set aside to carry out a full structural survey to assess the viability of the building plus other works. Assuming the results are positive, GPC and the RRA will begin the process of surveying what we want the centre to actually offer. 

Once that’s established, GPC will submit a planning application so everthing is ready to take over as soon as David Wilson Homes have finished with it.

Estimates are that this will be a couple of years from now, but all this means we should be ready.

It is appropriate to thank David Wilson Homes for being open to the Marketing suite being taken over by the community and the RRA would like to say thankyou for that.
