Racecourse Residents Association AGM Concludes with New Initiatives
The Racecourse Residents Association (RRA) successfully held its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, marking a productive close to the year’s business. Members formally welcomed Claire Robins and Kevin Doyle onto the committee, strengthening the team with fresh perspectives and energy.
Looking ahead, the RRA agreed to explore the installation of book sheds at two locations on the racecourse, creating new opportunities for community sharing and engagement. Plans were also set in motion for a summer community day, designed to bring residents together in celebration and collaboration.
The Association is inviting volunteers to help look after the book sheds and assist in running the community day, ensuring these initiatives are sustainable and inclusive. In addition, the RRA will be exploring the availability and accessibility of defibrillators across the racecourse area, reinforcing its commitment to community safety.
Finally, the Association reaffirmed its commitment to increasing participation, with a renewed push to achieve 50% membership among residents living on the racecourse.
